Editing software - The editing software that we used was Final Cut Pro X loaded on to Apple Mac’s, this assisted with the manipulation of the footage that we had taken using the cameras and making a progression each time we used the software to getting to the final product. This editing software was very efficient and easy to use which allowed my group to be able to make good editing styles and be able to edit our footage in a short amount of time. Without this software i believe the making of our piece would have been very difficult as we would have had to film the whole thing perfectly right without any hiccups.
Camera - To be able to film our piece,a camera was the most essential piece of technology which we needed, this is because, obviously without a camera we wouldn't have been able to film our thriller. We were given high definition JVC cameras by our teachers to film the preliminary task and the actual filming of our thriller opening scene. These cameras were good in the making of our opening sequence because we were able to attach them to a tri-pod and the filming on the camera was good quality.
Tripod- In the making of both our preliminary task and opening sequence we used a tri-pod to ensure that we had to shaky footage and so that we could have specific angles such as a high angle shot. Without the tri-pod our final thriller opening sequence wouldn't have been clear and would have dropped us marks.
Blogger , was one of essential pieces of software that I used to perform my research and planning stages of our opening scene. It is a Blog-Publishing Service that allows the user to publish private or multiple user accessed blogs. The software allows the user to have their own URLs (http://08mooregwesthatch.blogspot.co.uk/) is mine. Each time we had a specific task set into the research or planning into our thrillers, we could log on to the service and create new posts with specific names to distinguish what the posts were about. Along with the research and planning that we wrote about on the blogs we were also able to insert images and videos to complement our work that we had analysed.
