FINALLY!

Seun : From this Project i have learned that the film industry is incredibly complicated and has many different aspects to it. I have also learned that in order for a film to be successful they must have a clear aspect of production, marketing, distribution and exhibition.

Joram: From this project I have gained key skills in editing and filming, also I have learned how to promote, market and distribute films. I also have understood that those aspects are key for the successful creation of a film.

Production

Joel; From this project i have learnt about the various different aspects of the film industry and how they impact on each other and the overall quality of the film.

Souhila: I have learnt about what happens before a film is released and the amount of work that there is whilst making the film.

Marketing

To plan this project, we started off by researching into existing swedes on YouTube such as Indiana Jones in order to give us inspiration for our own project. Some of our props included a gun to replicate the real film. Our star actors were Joram Mantemo playing Chris Tucker and Joel Osei as Jackie Chan.

We watched a highjacking scene and wrote down the dialogue that was used which was then memorised. We used JVC cameras and Apple Mac computers in order to complete our filming and editing with final Cut Pro working along side.

In post production we posted our edited scenes onto our blog and to various social media sites.

The different marketing methods we used were social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and advertising posters. Our target audience in mind for our swede is students aged 15-21 which is mainly college/university students. This is because students this age are the most likely people after the elderly to have disposable income, which they could potentially use to buy a cinema ticket to watch the upcoming film and promote the film on their social networking sites. We used the internet to market and advertise our project in order to promote our progress and production.

Distribution

Exhibition

We uploaded the video onto the Apple Mac PC from the video drive and imported the clips into final cut pro and exported the video as an MP4 and uploaded onto our blog in order to distribute our project. We found the internet extremely useful and it was a major part of our production. We used the internet for many aspects such as researching into swedes, adding the scenes to our blog and advertising and marketing the production.

We have a total of 19 views on our scene and are working towards gaining more viewers and potential comments.
