INTRODUCTION

There are different movements in the world. There are technology movements, water movements, land movements and more. These are called "Forces of Nature." Here are some examples of movements on land.

These forces are all natural, made by the Earth.

Where do these natural movements occur?

Some real life natural movements are;

On Sunday May 22, 1960 the most powerful

earthquake occurred in Valdivia, Chile. It was rated 9.5 on the M.M.S ( moment magnitude scale). It started at 6:02 on May 21, 1960.

In 1980 a major eruption at Mount St.Helens, Washington, USA. This was caused by an ejection of magma at shallow depth below the volcano that created by a huge bulge. An eruption column rose 80,000 feet (24 km) into the atmosphere.

Hurricanes occur when the water

is warmed during the summer. The

solar energy, from the sun heats the

water up. The heat from the water is

transferred to the atmosphere.

Tornadoes occur when two

different temperatures collide.

The heat of sun heats a place and

its pressure gets decreased, Then

the air from high pressure region

comes so rapidly in

Why do these forces occur?

A volcano usually forms when the

magma from deep in the earth

erupts. The lava then flows out onto

the earths surface and then hardens.

The rock crumbs and lava build up

to create a volcano.

Earthquakes occur when a rock underground suddenly breaks. This sudden movement is called seismic waves that make the ground shake. The rocks break because of all the pressure that was built up. Then when the rocks break, an earthquake occurs.
