A very simple factory in Taiwan. You can see that the structure of the factory is very simple. The factory doesn't seem to be any of the fancy ones.

This is one of the hundreds of smoke chimneys that can be found in Kaohsiung. At night there will be smokes coming right out of the many chimneys. That is how Kaohsiung is polluted.

Harbors with many ships is not surprising at all in Kaohsiung. Most of the ship are cargo carriers or they might be use as oil ships. Ships like these can be seen through out Taiwan.

Tall buildings such as the Kaohsiung 85 are common in Kaohsiung. There are hughe amount of tall buildings. A lot of tourist can also be found in Kaohsiung.

Great marks of Britain had been left in the city of Kaohsiung.

British Consulate is one of the most important footmarks that the British had left for Taiwan.

The flag of Britain is a very straight forward landmark that was left in Kaohsiung by Britain.

This is the storage room in the British Consulate. There are smaller and smaller rooms inside of the storage.

The textile of the building of the consulate is also special. The floor is made of individual hexagon shaped bricks.

The style of the consulate can't be found in Taiwan. It has a very special design to it. There are many features of the consulate.

The Real Kaohsiung

Tourist bus in a very common sight that can be found in Kaohsiung. It represents that there are a lot of tourists. Most of the tourist are from mainland China.

Biking in Kaohsiung is a common sight to see. The over crowdness of the city, and the high gas prices, a lot of people are biking.

Military usage is also a very common sight in Kaohsiung. Especailly since Kaohsiung is a big naval base for Taiwan.

Poverty is also here in Kaohsiung. People's houses are usually small and the whole family is cramped together. Their technology is not the best too.

Fishing and agriculture is a big part of Kaohsiung. If you travel to the country areas of Kaohisung, you will be able to see more of farms. In the city, there are a lot of fishers.

This is a place where a dog might be born, a temple.

Places like these is a good place to start their childhoold. Their parents leave them pretty soon alone, since they can't take care of them.

This is a perfect place for a dog to sleep. Dogs pretty much sleep in the corners no matter how cold the weather is. They have to spend their life in those area.

Dogs might become deaf, blind, or even crippled one day. No one would be willing to help them. So, they will usually die painfally. They might also get hitten by scooters or cars. It is common to see dead bodies of dogs next to the roads.

Wild dogs is a very common sight in Taiwan. My heart aches each time, I see a dog runs wild. Their eyes seem to tell me something. I really do feel sad.
