What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
For your main Production of Beth Marwolaeth we used iMovie.
I found iMovie really easy and simple to use. It was really simple to import are footage into iMovie then play around with it and cut certain bits.
To cut a section all we had to do was press "Apple T" on the Mac.
Here is where our footage would go. All footage would be individually turned into separate clips allowing us to edit each one singularly.
Here was our footage timeline. This allowed us to insert audio clips, transitions and effects.
We used You Tube during the production of our Film. We found You Tube very helpful as we were able to sign up and upload all videos that we needed. We could then easily upload these videos onto our Blog.
We used Blogger to document our progress of our film.
I found Blogger really easy to use and very realiable.
I really enjoyed using Blogger. It allowed me to easily update
and document our progress from any computer at any time.
We used Dafont.com to find suitable fonts for our Production Company Logo. We really liked using Dafont as it was simple and easy to use with out any complications.
I also used Logic Pro to create the piano piece and create our music for our opening sequence.
We also used Garage Band where we were able to Edit our Music this program is very similar to Logic Pro.
We also used iTunes in development with our opening sequence. We used it to import our music so that we could easily listen to it when we needed and so that it could easily to uploaded to iMovie.
We used Photoshop to create our Production company logo. Although our logo was very Successful we found it very difficult to use. The software was very complex to get to grips with.
We also used Live type for our credits. We decided that we didn't want to use iMovie for our credits simply for the reason that Live Type had alot more choice. Although being better software we found it really difficult to use.
As a group we had a lot of problems with the technology here are some of the things we learnt:
-Technology can be very unreliable and you can loose work quickly if you don't save.
-We found some programs can be difficult and unclear how to use.
-The zoom on the camera was very poor quality so it was hard to get decent shots without loosing some quality focus.
-At one point my hard drive broke, which delayed us adding the music to our film.
-Live- type was confusing and made our opening go fast and was unreliable.
-We had never used MAC's before so found it quite hard to get to grips with the software.
Here is a list of the Kit that we used:
Video Camera
Tripod
Cannon Camera (500D)
Mac Book
External HardDrive
Memory Stick
