Operating System

An operating system (OS) is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common services for computer programs. The operating system is a component of the system software in a computer or other device system.

Drivers

A device driver (commonly referred to as a driver) is a computer program that operates or controls a particular type of device that is attached to a computer. A driver provides a software interface to hardware devices.

Antivirus or anti-virus software (often abbreviated as AV), sometimes known as anti-malware software, is computer software used to prevent, detect and remove malicious software.

Antivirus software was originally developed to detect and remove computer viruses, hence the name. However, with the proliferation of other kinds of malware, antivirus software started to provide protection from other computer threats.

MS-DOS: is an operating system for x86-based personal computers mostly developed by Microsoft.

Unix: A popular computer software operating system used on many Internet host systems.

Windows: A trademark of Microsoft Corporation for a software product that provides an environment for a graphical user interface for DOS and DOS applications.

Linux: is a Unix-like and mostly POSIX-compliant computer operating system (OS) assembled under the model of free and open-source software development and distribution.

Mac OS: is a series of graphical user interface–based operating systems developed by Apple Inc. for their Macintosh line of computer systems.

Android: is a mobile operating system (OS) currently developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices.

Symbian: is a mobile operating system (OS) and computing platform designed for smartphones.

Windows Phone (WP): is a family of mobile operating systems developed by Microsoft for smartphones as the replacement successor to Windows Mobile and Zune.

BlackBerry 10: is a proprietary mobile operating system for the BlackBerry line of smartphones, both developed by BlackBerry Limited.

iOS (originally iPhone OS): is a mobile operating system created and developed by Apple Inc. and distributed exclusively for Apple hardware

Programs

Programmer: A person who designs, write and tests computer programs.

Programming: A notation for the precise description of computer programs or algorithms. Programming languages are artificial languages in which the syntax and semantics are strictly defined
