-Targets the majority of the teenage audience
-Previously aimed at those who were only inner-directed.
This has changed because instead of categorising audience to be only those who are entirely confident in themselves and not influenced by anybody else (including artists on magazines) was inaccurate due to the majority of them being teenagers - they will more likely yearn to be similar to aritsts displayed on front covers.
Therefore by including those who are outer-directed it cators for those who are influenced by others around them. This is important because I feel like audiences will buy magazines if they feel they can relate to the genre and the artist displayed on the cover - for example aspiring to be like them in some way.
-The need to belong, to be part of a group.
-This has changed from my original interpretation of only the ESTEEM need. This is because stereotypically, I feel it is not fair to say that my entire target audience will consist of those who have self-esteem and status, but will also contain those who have the need to belong to part of a group - especially with 50% of my target audience being teenagers.
-Originally felt only group C2 was appropriate to categorise my audience.
This has changed because with group E representing the majority of unemployed people, it would be more accurate to include this group as my age group consists of the majority of teenagers.
However, with the age ranging to 24 years of age, I thought it would more accurate to include the C2 group demographically as well as C1 - more likely to be in more proffesional work placements.
Also, with group C covering the majority of people, I thought it would be more effective to include both C groups, ensuring a wider target audience.
