This is the final scene where the protagonist wakes up from her dream, which is reality it shows the panic and shock on her face the audience don't really understand what has just happened this is a teaser to make them want to watch on. At the end of the sequence the attackers eyes appear on screen to make the audience jump (convention) This also sets up the narrative. The killer is still out there.

Scene 2:

Scene Two:

Scene two starts with the killer’s hand targeting the victim. It is set on a collage I have made for the sequence. It is important that the audience acknowledge this because they understand the killer’s plans and how he has worked effectively to plan his attack without being caught, the audience like in scene one feel a part of the attack and feel guilty. The actor has restricted narrative they don’t know what the audience know and they feel guilty because feel like they are hiding a big part from a character they have engaged with and created a relationship with. The scene also goes through a number of articles with the headings ‘missing’ the scene is introducing the narrative of the dream and what is happening.

Scene 3:

Scene 1:

This scene is where the attack is established. The scene is set in a car park that empty in the middle of the night. The victim approaches from a small dark alley way. You can see that i have see that i have followed the codes and conventions to create the thriller look. The victim walks to her car and drops her car keys, this is an important scene as she bends down she sees the attackers feet it is the first time she associates with him. He then grabs her from behind and the scene fades.

Scene One:

The first scene that is shown will be set in a kitchen. The kitchen belongs to the killer (antagonist). The scene shows him after the attack and the effect it has had on him. The audience are put in a weaker position as they don’t know that this is the killer therefore it sets up confusion and connotes how the killer is feeling. The confusion has been set up deliberately to fit the mystery theme which is a convention of the thriller genre. The fact that we are set in the killers personal space allows the audience to make a relationship with him and understand his feelings, yet the antagonist never looks into the camera because the connection would be to close, at the end of the sequence the audience realise they have created a relationship with the antagonist and start to feel guilt, like they were a part of the attack. This reflects on how the protagonist feels as she dreams her aunt’s death.

Scene 6:

Newspaper articles emphasis the murder helps make sense of the sequence.

Scene 4/7

Complete contrast in lighting the scene before was very dark, the light airy space looks like a dream which connotes with the sequence because she is in a dream yet it seems like reality because it once was reality. The light room represents a mental home to connote that the victim thinks she is going insane.

This is also scene 7, scene 7 is the attacking scene. Where the murder takes place this is also important because the lighting and the room covered in white sheets does not reveal the murder location which is the mystery the protagonist has to solve.
