Whether your experience with reading has been positive or negative, the challenge you're about to undertake will be one of the most interesting and rewarding accomplishments you'll experience this year!
What exactly is this challenge?
You are invited to read 30 books by the end of the school year
It is a lot of books...
which is why we call
it a CHALLENGE

I promise you can do this
Honestly. Don't worry about that now.
You can do this!
You can do better than that. This challenge is one of the best ways to increase your reading level.
Sports Analogy- think of your reading for this challenge like a fitness or body building class
The more challenging the books you read, the higher you will progress, preparing you for college and career

Why should I do this?
This challenge is not just about earning points for a grade. It goes beyond that.

this is a way to
yourself to grow as a person and prepare for what you'll encounter this year and after high school.
This is your opportunity to go
just going through the motions of assignments and tasks in school for mere points.
While others have fought
valiantly for years against
teachers, parents,
friends.
"But I barely have enough time
to read one book a month!?"
