Here is my Poster that i created using Photoshop elements, I took the picture when we did the bulk of our filming.
I included the logo and the moths, so the audience become familiar with the band logo and the iconic moths that come with the band logo.
This is my digi pack and I also used pictures that I had taken when filming the bulk of the video.
I also decided to use a pocket instead of two disc spaces
We used Google Calander to organise filming, editing and Digi Pack and poster designing time, so we were organise and we knew what we was doing and when.
For the construction of the video, poster and Digi Pack I used a wide range of technologies to put everything together.
We used a Flip Camcorder to film our footage, we had to make sure the lighting for perfect or the camera wouldn't film it properly and it would be to dark to be effective.
I also used Photoshop Elements to create my Digi Pack and Poster, I had some expereince using other software like Photoshop so it didn't take me long to learn how to use it to it potenital.
To edit our footage we used Final Cut Pro to give it a decent finish.
I used You Tube a lot, one for sound effects for the beginning of our video we have sounds of an office for example the sound of a ticking clock.
We also used You Tube to find the song and a You Tube convertor to make the video's into a MP3.
We also used You Tube to play the song so the band members could lip sync properly and knew the tune.
We gave out questionaaires for our peers to answer so we knew what would appeal to our audience and what they would expect from a Brit Pop video
I used google a lot, because right at the beginning, we didnt know what song to chose, and with the brief was chose, we were able to serch google for popular Brit Pop song and choose from there
For the Evaluation I decided to use Prezi as it is another way to presentate my evaluation and makes it a bit more exciting and can be organised and made to look good.
With the feedback we gained we was able to edit our idea's, change anything we had already done and develop any idea's we already had
We also gained idea's and feedback as we gave out questionnaires for our peers to answer about what they think should have featured in a Brit Pop music video.
Some feedback that we gained was useful and helped us understand what they were seeing but we wasn't.
We gained feedback by showing our mood board about the idea's we had at the very beginning and then when we had been out and done some filming we was able to show a few rough cuts of our music video to gain further advice.
Our first rough cut that we showed to our class, didnt go very well and we had to re-shot a large part of the video, this was because of our mise-en-scen, as we had shot our footage in a school classroom that had been made into a office
We decided that the main narrative of the video shouldn't relate to the video, so we decided to film it in a 'office' instead of the obvious which would have been a park or woods because of the name of the song.
But we decided to relate some of the lyrics with the visuals for example, a line in the song is 'rudely awaken by the dustbin men' and we have a cleaner waking up one of the sleeping offie workers.
One of the conventions I used in my Music Video was the use of the band members taking up a lot of the frame and being present in most of the shots, this allowed the audience become fimlaer with the band members and recgonise them in the Digi Pack and Poster
We tried to use fast cuts in the video as our song is a light hearted song with a taste of fun in it, so it would appeal to our target audeince and go along with our song.
Because of the inital research we did, many people sugguested we should do a performance because it is a convention of a Brit Pop music video.
