Tools in indesign
I personally feel that InDesign was the main reason for my final version to match my format research as well as my target audience.
Some useful sources that I used within my work was:
Prezzi - this allowed me to produce smart looking powerpoints.
Pinterest - allowing me to gather a range of images and pin selected images to my pinterest. This created better looking mood boards.
All of these media technolgies allowed me to not forget my target audience and added to my format research.
There were several tools which helped throughout when using InDesign. Those were the font choices and colour choices which I was able to select from. It made it even easier by being able to create my own colours. Also adding images in, the tool made it a much faster process.
Using InDesign

As I previously mentioned, I already had experience in using InDesign, this made it much easier for me as I already knew the basics. Therefore, I was then able to add to my skills by teaching myself new things, as well as watching YouTube clips which would provide with a step by step tutorial.
As this was a huge benefit to myself, I was then able to add to my final versions new skills. A big skill that was used throughout my work was to change and adjust the shape of images. This made my cover lines look really effective as I was able to make them more appealing to the target audience.
I also used DaFont for a lot of my text, here I was able to save these a a jPeg which was then inserted into my work to make them look more professional yet linking in with my previous format research.
These are my final edits and draft versions. I made sure that I edited all of my final images to make sure that they fitted the Rock genre, I used Photoshop to edit the front main image as I wanted to create a high intensity image.
Introduction
I had a good knowledge of how to use the media technology as I had previously used it as part of my Photography GCSE. This therefore allowed me to be able to expand on my skills even more and be able to adapt my genre of magazine throughout the front page, double page spread and contents page. I found using photoshop, it allowed me to add to the genre Rock as I was able to adjust the lighting as well as adjusting the size of the photos so that they could have a big imapct to inparticular the front page of my magazine.
InDesign was also another peice of software that I found extremely useful, again having passed experience meant I was able to adapt my magazine accordingly and I felt comfortable enough to be able to layer and build a strong media magazine to suit my audience.
