We needed to collaborate on ideas, budget, time line and managing contractors
Collaborating can sometimes be a challenge. Its key to keep in mind that everyone has their own experiences and opinions and have something to bring to the table. Be open to hearing new ideas and always be respectful.
One of the major projects we collaborated on was using a 12,000 grant to create an updated, age appropriate and fun outdoor space for the students.
In my role as an Early Childhood Educator in the full day kindergarten program I collaborated daily with the students and teacher.
I had the pleasure of collaborating with my principal, teaching partner and student in designing and creating an outdoor education space. We had weekly meetings about the progress and things that needed to be done. This project required a lot of planning, researching costs and compromise but the end result was rewarding and the teachers and students will benefit from this for years to come.
