In our first question we asked how informative the documentary is, nobody said it was 1 or 2 out of 5, two people said it was 3 out of 5, nine people said it was 4 out of 5 and seven people said it was 5 out of 5. To make the documentary more informative we could of added some more detail about the subject and asked more detailed questions in the interviews.
Our second question asked how interesting they found the documentary. Nobody said it was below 3 out of 5, three people said it was 3 out of 5, nine said it was 4 out of 5 and six said it was 5 out of 5. To make it more interesting we could of included more interesting cutaways to go with the interviews or asked better questions to get answers that the audience would find interesting.
We then asked the audience to briefly comment on the choice of music on our documentary. We found that most people thought it fit well with the documentary, they thought it was consistent and worked with the cutaways and we got one criticism, as someone said that it draws from the documentary. To find out what music people like, we did a questionnaire at the beginning and found that indie was our target audience's favourite genre of music, so that is what we added into the documentary.
We asked our audience to briefly comment on our voiceover and found that most people thought it was a good choice. People said it was clear, easy to understand, the gender was good and the age was good. People also said that she spoke to fast, could of been more enthusiastic and she was too quiet. To get all positive feedback on this we could of told her to speak slower so that it flows with the documentary and sat her closer to the microphone so it is more clearer.
Out fifth question was about our cutaways and what people thought of them. We got mostly positive feedback on this question, as people were saying they worked well, were inventive, creative and relevant, the one criticism we got back was that they thought they were repetitive. To make this better we could of added more interesting cutaways on our chosen subject.
The audience then commented on the programmes continuity, we got all positive feedback on this question, as said it either flowed, followed the subject and it was good.
We asked our audience how eye catching they thought our opening titles were. Nobody gave it a mark below 4 out of 5, one person gave it a 4 out of 5 and seventeen people gave it a 5 out of 5. To have made it more eye catching we could of used a better font to make the title stand out.
We then asked how eye catching they thought our cutaways were, two people gave it a 3 out of 5, fourteen people gave it a 4 out of 5 and two people gave them a 5 out of 5. We could of filmed more cutaways to make them seem more interesting and used a range of camera angles.
To see if the mise-en-scene was good enough, we asked our audience to rate how eye catching it was. Six people said it was 3 out of 5, nine said it was 4 out of 5 and 3 said it was 5 out of 5. We could of made our mise-en-scene more interesting and creative by having things in the background that relate to the programme and that people would find interesting.
We also wanted to know how eye catching our vox pops were. Three people said it was 3 out of 5, nine said 4 out of 5 and six said 5 out of 5. To improve on this we could of asked more people the same question or asked more interesting questions in a more popular place.
We then asked out audience how interesting they thought the camerawork was in the documentary. One person gave it a 2 out of 5, six people said 3 out of 5, seven said 4 out of 5 and 4 said 5 out of 5. These results show that our camerawork could of been better. In order to get better results we could of used a wider range of camerawork on the interviews and cutaways, such as different angles, zoom and pan.
We asked if out documentary follows the codes and conventions of a professional documentary, and our results show that everybody said it does.
Our final question was to see if the audience had any more comments on the documentary. Three people said it was good, one said th voiceover was too quiet, two people like our opening titles, one person said it was eye catching and two people said we had good interviews. So, overall we had good feedback from out audience.
