The coverlines on the front page gain the audiences attention because the are of the artists name which is part of the codes and conventions of a pop music magazine. This gains their attention because they are more likely to buy a magazine with artists they like in and if they see the artists name straight away they will buy it if they like the artist.
The color scheme used for my magazine attracts the audience because the colors used are colors the target audience like. The colors are bright and upbeat which fits in with the genre. This will attract audience attention because the colors would stand out if put near another magazine. Also from my audience reasearch I found out the favorite colors of the target audience which is why I used them on my magazine.
Direct address is used on the main image. This gains the audiences attention because whever they stand in the store or wherever they see the magazine the model will be looking at them which gains attention.
The languaged used in informal so that the audience will believe this magazine is modern and up to date which gains the audiences attention. The language sets people in a good mood which is what pop music does.
