Our film is a psychological thriller based on a teenage girl, as the film is psychological it immediatly attract the older generation around 25 and over, people who are interested in mysteries and indeph reason, the film will also attract the younger generation therefore teenagers as they can relate to the main character to some extent but also the inextpirienced 15-20 generally watch psychological thrillers, this may be bacause the age range of these films are rated 15 or 18.
Who are your more specific audience to your sub genre?
Films like 'orphan' and 'jekll & hyde' both insired our idea for our short film openig. Both films did considerably well, orphan ( a psychological/ horror thrilller) was shown over 3.000 creens and made around £570.000 in the uk alone and attracted alot of teenagers because of its chilling plot.
Like '0rphan' our film featured a female as our main character, although the convential way of a psychological thriller has a man as its main character we rebelled against that and used a female therefor attracting more female audience.
We also used the story of 'Jekll & hyde' an origional psychological thriller which came out in 1982, for the plot of our media project, we thought this may attract the older generation.

Our USP is possibly the characters featured and the plot of the film. Mainly men tend to watch psychological thrillers but because we have a female as our main character it may attract more female audiences
