Going Places

Sydney's Star

Summary:

Raphael and Maya's class are preparing for the Going Places Contest where each student will build a go-cart and race it to win. All the Going Places Kits are identical but that doesn't stop Maya from thinking "outside of the box." She and Raphael join together to build a flying go-cart and win the race.

Summary:

Sydney is an inventor who loves to build new things. She became inspired to build a remote-control star. Once it was built, she took her star to the Student Science Fair. At first the star impressed the crowd until it began to malfunction and fly away. Embarrassed, Sydney walked along the beach until she found her star flashing in Morse code signaling a lost captain who was saved because of her invention.
