Our (simulated) Mission

• Our mission is to discover the quality status of LightScreen and prepare a

report.

• A large media company (LMC, Inc.) is considering hiring the developer of

LightScreen to create a new version of that product with

additional features specifically for the public market, but first

they are evaluating the design, robustness, and charisma of the existing

version. Hundred thousand dollars are at stake, and LMC will review the

application formally in one week. Although this project has never had

dedicated testers, you have been hired by GottCode to test LightScreen ,

find important bugs so that they can be fixed, and prepare for ongoing

RECENT CHANGES

• For the purposes of this class, we will assume that LightScreen is an

established product with existing users, but that this version of

LightScreen is new:

• New feature - Imgur upload support

• Redesigned the structure of saved images

• (I will act as the customer representative if you have questions.)

Assignment

  • Perform a sanity test and survey session for LightScreen
  • It means visit every major feature of LightScreen and witness that it seems to be able to function. If you find anything that looks like a bug, report it (best in separate txt)
  • I expect you to produce a basic set of test notes as an RTF file, TXT file, or XMind file and send it to me

Rules:

  • You have up to 1.5 hours
  • You can form teams/pairs (but would be great to have at least 3 entities here)
  • I am playing the role of the 'sponsor' for this time - you can ask questions about my 'idea what is correct'
  • We will try to evaluate the missions in through discussion -> I'm not the almighty judge of what is right/wrong sanity test
