Terminal 1

The T1 is a passenger terminal located in the south of the airport, between the two parallel runways. Designed by Ricardo Bofill, was inaugurated on 16 June 2009 and 17 days was set up with a Spanair flight from Madrid. The facilities allow you to receive 30 million passengers a year and increase the capacity of the airport to 55 million passengers a year and give it the ability to manage more than 90 operations per hour. It occupies a floor space of 545,000 m² and is adapted to receive large aircraft like the Airbus A380 through double gateways. It has 13,000 parking spaces, expandable fingers 45 to 60, 15 tapes recoliida baggage check-in counters 168 and 101 boarding gates: gates A and D are in the north wing, the doors to B doors and the central C and E to the south.

The terminal T2 is the oldest passenger terminal and consists of three buildings. Formerly, before the opening of the terminal T1, there were three different terminals, the terminals named A, B and C. The terminal T2 has the ability to be able to receive 25 million passengers annually, a number close to T1 which guarantees a high capacity of the airport to absorb a growing number of passengers. The terminal T2A contains the boarding of passengers M4 (gates 46-49) and M5 (gates 56-59), T2B contains modules M2 (gates 26-29) and M3 (36-39 gates) T2C and contains the module M1 (gates 16-19)

Tower of Control 3

One of the most important objectives of the new airport is to meet the needs of people and airlines, both quantitative and cualitativament.

The construction of the third runway and the expansion of the airfield, have required a new control tower that has a more direct visual access to the three tracks, and that, moreover, can be valid for future expansion the Airport.

The new control tower will attend a traffic of 90 flight operations at the time, and hold the tecnlogia and staff necessary in the best conditions.
