Examples in TV

Stereotypes

Seen as 'normal'. Females are feminine and enjoy shopping etc. Males are masculine and enjoy sport and mending things.

There are not many examples from TV drama of asexual characters. At various times it has been suggested that Sherlock Holmes from BBC Sherlock and The Doctor from BBC Doctor Who are both asexual.

However The Doctor has been shown to have relationships with various people over time and has kissed quite a few others.

Nobody seems sure if Sherlock is asexual or not as there is nothing that clearly states he is.

Another example is Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. It is suggested that he is asexual though he is in a relationship with Amy.
