Final cut pro was fundamental when composing ourfilm trailer. Through final cut pro, we were able to effectively and successfully edit the clips, assemble them together and add appropriate music. We could also alter the sound volume and create acceleration of our music when we added it to our film trailer.
Final cut pro, is a fairly modern technology. 10 years ago, we would not have been privileged to have this software and alternatively would have had to use something similar, but less professional- 'windows movie maker'.

2. Motion
We used a software called motion to make our production company logo. After many ideas drafted and different colors and shapes, we eventually decided on one idea and utilized motion to make the logo and added animation to the logo to enhance it and make it seem more exciting.
However we struggled to adjust the logo to a suitable size for our actual trailer. This was the only disadvantage of 'motion'.
Once again, 'motion' is a new, modern and professional software, It was not in existence a few years ago.
3.Livetype
4. Photoshop
Having initially used it our AS productions, we were all
very familiar with 'livetype'.
Livetype was a software, essential when forming our titles and credits. After choosing the best and most suitable font type, we chose credits which were applicable to our story line and then placed it onto life type. In 'livetype', we were able to chose an animated way for the credits to emerge and could alter the timings of its emergence, making it syncopated with the music and the the scenes that we wanted.
Similar to the other software, 'livetype' would not have been around 10 years ago.
Photoshop was also very vital in the process of constructing our film poster, trailer and magazine cover. We frequently used Photoshop, mainly to edit our main pictures but also for little things like our production company logo.
Due to our frequent us of photoshop, we became very skilled users and could experiment with different techniques. Particularly, the main image for our poster; Photoshop was vital in order for us to blend the words onto Anna's face.
Contrast to many of our other media software, Photoshop was here 10 years ago and we couldve have used it then. However, it has advanced in many areas.
