"ZoomIt is screen zoom and annotation tool for technical presentations that include application demonstrations. ZoomIt runs unobtrusively in the tray and activates with customizable hotkeys to zoom in on an area of the screen, move around while zoomed, and draw on the zoomed image. I wrote ZoomIt to fit my specific needs and use it in all my presentations.
ZoomIt works on all versions of Windows and you can use pen input for ZoomIt drawing on tablet PCs."

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration.
The term screencast compares with the related term screenshot; whereas screenshot is a picture of a computer screen, a screencast is essentially a movie of the changes over time that a user sees on a computer screen, enhanced with audio narration.

"Simply throwing an iPad and the Khan Academy to your kid and walking away isn’t the answer. Instead, it’s important to track how your child is performing and coaching them along with the academy’s online tools.
The Khan Academy iPad app doesn’t provide access to the Khan Academy exercises, but the functionality is coming soon. You can complete exercises on a full Web browser until then."

videos made with iPad App "Explain Everything"
Peer into Aaron Sams' classroom as he explains why he flipped his classroom. Aaron Sams, along with Jonathan Bergmann were the first to flip their classes. They currently teach in Woodland Park Colorado and are writing a book about the Flipped Class.
A few new things you might consider sharing:
1. Camtasia Relay: This has really caught on in higher ed here in the US and is now also starting to catch on in K-12 because once it's installed on a district/regional server and teacher profiles are set up it's incredibly easy for teachers to record and share since Relay takes care of production and distribution. The only "rub" with it is its cost (about $5,000 US for a district/region) but when districts compare this cost to many licenses of Camtasia Studio and find out that it will actually really enable most teachers to screencast then it's more than acceptable. TechSmith does 30 day trials and is happy to extend these.
2. Screencasting using the iPad! I mention this because iPads are really starting to take over here and "screencasting" using them is getting better and better with these. I put the quotes around screencasting because you can't quite actually do screencasting on an iPad but you can almost do it - for written things (math in particular) - using Screenchomp (free from TechSmith) or I'm really liking Explain Everything lately. Here are 2 videos created with EE:
a. Demo of its features: www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4JOsrEsyo0
b. Flipped instruction and Screencasting: beyond math (Notice the very cleverly done navigation with YouTube)
3. This 9/12/11 article has a very helpful comparison chart and pros/cons of each iPad screencasting app:

I still very much like using Jing with inexpensive tablets and VoiceThread (especially with its new M5 commenting and upcoming iOS release). There's also Camtasia:Mac now still for about $100 US.
