Meeting with Smaug

At Laketown, the people provide the group with tons of materials because they think the king under the mountain is back. The group goes toward the mountain but is discouraged to see that there isn't any way in. Bilbo waits till sunset on Durin's Day. The map they got from Elrond says that on this sunset the door will open, and low and behold it does. Bilbo sneaks into the mountain to see the dragon. Bilbo has his conflict with Smaug while wearing his ring were Bilbo stole his first treasure, but gave away crucial information in rhymes.

Battle of 5 Armies

The dwarves refuse to give up some of their gold to the humans. The humans claim that some of it is their own since after all, they did kill Smaug. This becomes the beginning of the Battle of the Five Armies, which originally just took place with the humans and elves versus the dwarves. All of a sudden, the goblins from the south come with an army of wargs and want the mountain for themselves so they have to team up. Remember, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. After this battle which is one by the allies of course, Bilbo and Gandalf ride back to Hobbiton for a story book ending.

Smaug decides why wait to kill the dwarves when he can just kill all of Laketown. Bard is from Lake Town and is human. Bard kills Smaug with his arrow in Smaug's only weak spot and stops the town from getting in any worse shape then it already is from his wraith after it was in ruins.

Beginning of the Journey

Elven Hall

In the beginning of "The Hobbit" it takes place in the town of Hobbiton. It all starts when Gandalf shows up to Bilbo Baggin's home and asks him to go on an adventure. Bilbo declines only to be met with a group of 13 dwarves who gradually show up

The dwarves get captured by the elves and brought here. The elven king does not think they are supposed to be here and sends them to the cells. Bilbo must think of a way to liberate them. He uses the ring to sneak past the elves and take the keys from the security chief. He stuffs all the dwarves into barrels and sends them down the Forest River towards Lake Town.

Beorn's House

Misty Mountains

and convinces Bilbo to go on the journey to take back what belongs to the dwarves.

Here at Beorn's house they meet him and tell him their story of how they have gotten there, and he is so impressed that he helps them by letting them stay at his house, giving them food, Bows and Arrows and Pony´s

Outside the Goblin tunnels

As, the group entered the misty mountains , they went to a friend of Gandalf's, Elrond. He gave food and supply´s, then they started their travels again when some severe storms hit and they decided to take cover in a cave that turned out to be a back door for the Goblins and were soon captured by them. They ended up killing the great Goblin, Bilbo found a ring that turns people invisible, and play a riddle game with Gollum.

Troll Forest

Here in this location the Dwarves, Gandalf, and the Hobbit regrouped after exiting the Goblin tunnels. After a couple of min., they were surprised to see swarms of Wargs upon them. Toi escape them, they climbed up the trees. Gandalf sent magic fire down on top of them. Then the Goblins arrived and started lighting the trees that they were in on fire, with a blink of the eye the eagles came in and saved them.

Spiders

Bilbo got separated from the group since it went pitch black. He gave up miserably and fell to the ground. Once he got up, none of the dwarves were to be found when he found giant spiders trying to take him. He was able to kill these 2 but he was soon to find out that the rest of his group had been captured by the spiders. Using his ring he was able to aggravate and lure the spiders away. He went back and undid the webs on the dwarves. Together they were able to push back the spiders and get away. A little while later they realized they didn't have Thorin. They then went onwards towards the elves.

At the start of the journey one of the ponies who had food supplies runs off and leaves the group hindered. Bilbo and the dwarves go to chase after it when they encounter something unexpected, trolls. Bilbo needs to get the supplies back so he's immediately thrown into the fire. He tries to take the keys from the trolls but is found but is almost killed. He's not killed because he stalls enough time for Gandalf to turn the trolls into stone.
