Counter Claim: Art has traditionally claimed a right to our thoughtful attention, we need to spend some time exploring its nature and value.

Counter claim: Language helps people spread important information by the way they interpret it and expose it.

Claim: Language allows people to communicate biased facts and handle the information to portray it inaccurately.

Claim: Perception is limited to what we are shown, so that we will only know one side to the full story.

Counter Claim: Perception allows people to visualize objects or other things so that we can view them carefully and comprehend on what's happening.

Claim: History can be told by inaccurately communicating or omitting information which could misinterpret its real meaning.

Counter Claim: History allows us to learn and communicate what happened in the past in order to understand how the present is impacted by it.

Westboro Baptist Church

Claim: Emotion impacts language. Through aroused emotions, language, another way of knowing, is distorted, causing biased language that conforms to the emotion.

Counterclaim: Language impacts emotion. Emotions are aroused because by being exposed to only one side of the story, you only know one side of the story. This also relates to perception. Emotions develop which are biased towards one side.
