R. C. T. Lee was born in 1939. He recieved his B. Sc. degree from the Department of Electical Engineering from the National Taiwan University and his Ph. D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Califonia Berkeley.He is a professor of National Chi Nan Uniersity.Lee is a professor and a writer.

Yang Ching-shun is a two time gold medalist in the Men's Nine-Ball event at the Asian Games. He is also a one time gold medalist in the Men's Nine-Ball event at the World Games. Nine ball is like pool, but it has nine-balls and the set up is differnt. Yang Ching-shun is often referred to as the,"the Son of Pool."

Chien Ming-Wang is the New York Yankees pitcher. He was born March 31st 1980. He signed to be the Yankees pitcher in 2000 and has played for them ever since. He has 55 wins and 26 loses.

Brandon Chang is a famous modern singer in Taiwan. He was born the 28th of December,1982 in Toronto, Canada. He grew up in Taiwan, and when he was 14, he moved to Hong Kong. In his early 20's he moved back to Taiwan.

The earthquake started at 1:47 AM on September 21st 1999.The earthquake was 93 mile south of the capital city, Taipei. 2,400 people died and 10,000 were injured. 100,000 people were left homeless and 17,500 buildings were damaged.
