How Can We Save Energy?
- Turn lights off when leaving a room unoccupied
- Open blinds to let in natural light
- Use energy efficient compact light bulbs, like compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) or light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs
- Keep doors & windows closed
- Unblock vents to allow warm or cool air to properly circulate throughout the room
- Unplug appliances when not in use
- Only heat the building when it's being used
Practice at Home!
- Students will design light switch stickers that promote energy conversation.
- Goal: To encourage others to turn off lights when leaving a room unoccupied, at school and at home!
