I like how these chapters provide you with different sites to create lesson plans as well as a site that shows you how to create them. Who knew there were so many options and for all different subjects. For the most part we as new teachers already have a foot in the door with our prior knowledge of Microsoft Office, discussion posts, and blogs. As teachers we can use technology to keep track of grades and upcoming assignments. We can use the technology for assessment like surveys, electronic quizzes, and tests. To evaluate our students, as how well they are doing and where they need help in each subject.
I feel it a great advantage that we further incorporate technology into our classrooms. Ever since we have started incorporating technology into classrooms it has proven to be very helpful to both students and teachers. And I only feel it would be of further advantage that we continue to incorporate technology in our daily teaching schedules.
We all remember back in elementary school when we learned the alphabet. An example being, “A” is for Apple, you saw the letter “A” and the word “apple” and a picture of an apple as well.
I also find it helpful that we can now provide examples of lessons for all different learners, be it visual or audio. With the help of multimedia we can address both learning types with the use of words and pictures. PowerPoint is a prime example of a multimedia we can use program while educating; others like Prezi or WebQuest work just as well.
