4. In a collaborative work group, use a variety of technologies to produce a digital presentation or product in a curriculum area. (1, 2, 6)

Students will create a blog and comment on classmates' blogs throughout the year. They will be posting all their projects and assignments onto their blog.

3. Engage in learning activities with learners from multiple cultures through e-mail and other electronic means.

Students will have penpals and use either:

  • their blog
  • e-mail
  • Skype

to stay in contact with them throughout the year.

1. Illustrate and communicate original ideas and stories using digital tools and media-rich resources. (1, 2)

Students will create either:

  • a timeline
  • a Prezi
  • a video

about what they did the following summer or a story about themselves.

The students will discuss ten major events about either their summer or their life story up until now.

6. Use simulations and graphical organizers to explore and depict patterns of growth such as the life cycles of plants and animals.

Students will research and present a life cycle of their favorite animal or plant using:

  • a Prezi
  • an online chart or organizer
