This contents doesn't follow the conventions
of and editor's letter. Also the mode of adress
is quite informal as they want to engage their
target audience by using language they can relate
to.

The magazine uses a consistent style
throughout the conents page, however
is uses a range of fonts for differet articles
to make it interesting, rahter than loosing
the readers interest. A simple colour scheme
is used for the contents page. All of the text
is in black and is placed on a black background.
The images however are in colour to make
them stand out.

on how to subscribe to up coming issues.
It show images of previous issues and
follows the conventions of music magazines
as it is clear, however placed out of the way
of the rest of the contents page.

people can recieve it when a new issue
released. the instructions allow you to
have the knowledge to subscribe.

corner of the magazine to inform people about the content
of the magazine and if their favourite bands and artists are
in the magazine. most of the bands fit into the genre of the
magazine apart from one "LIL WAYNE", However this artists
has elements of this genre of music therefore it is still
appropriate to have him in the magazine.

in contrast is quite dark. This feature
reflects the life of the artist, and is backed
up by the different style of pictures.
This side of the double page spread uses quite
bright colours. It uses a blend of mainly black
white and orange . Also it uses different fonts
to highlight things such as the artista name
whic is in bold.
The double page spread uses a consistent house styl;e
through both of the pages, which follows the convention
of music magazines.The colours are consistent and the
light text is used on a dark background to make it stand
out.

The by line mainly informs the reader
of what the article will be about or who
it will be about. The by line reads "on
the road with Miles Kane",which indicates
that the article will be based on "Miles
Kane".

These pictures highlight the events
of how the music artist being explored
lives his life in music. They include
music concerts everyday activities such as
having breakfast.
The image takes up most of the page on
the double page spread. This doesn't follow
the normal convention of music magazines
as they usually take up half the page and the
rest consists of text.
Standfirst
The standfirst in this case is a date, which introduces the text by including a time, date and location. This informs the reader that the following text will be about that individual date.
The standfirst is the name of
the lead singer. This informs
the reader of who the article
is mainly about.
Layout
The layout is quite typical. There is a large
image of the artist usually embeded within
the text. the text is placed around the photo
which follows teh conventions of music
magazines. The right side howver is quite
unique as it is a collage of images involving
the artist from the previous page.

There is a quotation in the middle of the
page to catch the attention of the reader.

The by line is the name of the
band and informs you what the
article is going to be about.
