Canadian politicians have been attacking Julian Assange. It would be in Canada’s best interest to join in on the prosecution. This would show him, all the wikileaks people, and all other hackers that we will not stand for these types of attacks, or this invasion of the government's privacy.
Some people believe that Assange shouldn't be prosocuted because he's simply reporting news, it just happens to be news that the government doesn't want the public to know. But should he be charged because he was reporting this secret information? Why would the government want to keep this information from it's people anyways?
Basically, Julian Assange, through his incredible skill, intercepted over 251, 287 US cables, which included a lot of information the United States did not want the public to know. This man can find anything, and he'll publish it.
In "TIME" the magazine they did an artical on him. They interviewed and asked him questions about what he was planning on leaking to the world, also writing about his life. The governments want to send him away to jail and possibly even put him on death row, but to do that they would need to find him first. Julian Assange is very clever with keeping his identity and location secretive. He makes it a routine to change emails, phone numbers and even his location of living space.
Julian Assange was arrested on December 7th
2010 for alleged sexual assault charges. He is currently
out on bail, and for the time being is on house arrest in England.
That would be another reason why people might think that Canada's
forces should join in with the other countries.
We as a group do feel that Canada should join the
United States and other nations in the prosecution of Julian Assange.
We feel that it he is a huge threat to our global status and well being.
He is a very wise man that knows how to be secretive and sneaky about what his projects are and how he goes forward with finding and keeping top secret information. He can be a major threat to Canada and other countries all over the world.
