Every child will have to learn differently, and at their own pace. If they need it, take things slow, give the child one on one help. Let them ask questions, it may take longer for them to understand compared to the other kids in the class.
Medications for ADD may help your child concentrate better or sit still, at least in the short term. But to date, there is little evidence that they improve school achievement, relationships, or behavioral issues over the long term. And even in the short term, medication won’t solve all problems or completely eliminate the symptoms of ADD.

There is no single medical, physical, or other test for diagnosing ADD. To determine if you or your child has ADD, a doctor or other health professional will need to be involved, and you can expect him or her to use a number of different tools: a checklist of symptoms, answers to questions about past and present problems, or a medical exam to rule out other causes for symptoms.
