Krissy Milligan - is a 16 year old school girl and is the female protagonist (and antagonist) or our Horror plot. She is a only child, has been bullied by a malicious girl group, at her school, for years

Tara Brody/Bully No.1 - a member of the malicious girl group and is the first victim in our film

Amanda Stein/Bully No.2 - a member of the girl group and is the second victim in our film

Nina/Bully No.3 - is the leader of the girl group and is the final victim to be attacked by the antagonist

Bookseller - the one who tells Krissy about the history of the book

Our chosen genre for our trailer is HORROR

with supernatural and psychological aspects.

There will be various scenes shown in our trailer that take place in our protagonist's:

Our horror film will be aimed at young adults, 16-25 years old, because they are the ones who tend to watch the horror genre.

The fact that our target audience are the main age group that really watch the horror means that, our horror film should contain elements that would interest them to go to the cinema and watch it.

About Protagonist/Antagonist

We will be using numerous props in our horror trailer to convey the plot, including; the old dusty book (which is at the heart of the plot line); mirrors (for split personality scenes); wardrobe; coat; blood; match box. All the above props play a crucial part in our plot. The hair and make-up and costumes for all our characters will portray their personality and indicate their age. (We will also use make-up to to create wounds on victums to show that they have been attacked.) We will also play with low-key lighting to create a tenser and darker atmosphere - to achieve this we will also shoot at night time. Shooting at night will also make our selected locations creepier.

Our main character is a 16 year old school girl named Krissy Milligan. She is an only child in secondary school, and for years has been bullied by a malicious girl group. She is too nice and afraid to stand up to them and so just puts up with it...

One day at the bookstore, she accidently discovers an old, dusty horror book that doesn't appear like it belongs there.Titled: Don't Peek.

When she begins to read the book, she starts to discover that this book is not just a harmless horror story. This book contains a dark, evil curse which unleashes her inner demons and she develops a split personality. A second personality that is strong, cunning, fearless, murderous.

But when her second personality starts to take over her real personality will she be strong enough to resist this new quench for revenge and blood?

Our Pitch

A sad, lonely, and vulnerable bullied school-girl accidently discovers a mysterious book in her local bookshop titled “Don’t Peek.”

This old dusty book may look out of place in a shop filled with brand new books but it’s just a harmless horror story...isn’t it?

All the characters in this book are fiction...aren’t they?

When Krissy realises that this book holds a terrifying secret within it's pages will she be able to resist it’s evil seduction...or will it unleash the demons that she never knew she had inside her?

Horror films that gave us major inspiration for our own horror plot included;

• Hide and Seek
• The Possession
• Secret Window
• Black Swan

These horror films really interested us in the concept of multiple personality disorders and make great twists in the plot line. Also, the idea of something supernatural being at the heart of plot makes for a more interesting story and considering how popular supernatural horror films have been with our target audience (for instance; the paaranormal activity series) we thought it would make for another interesting twist in our plot.

These films are ones we can use for inspiration, in terms of shot types, angles and composition, editing, Mise-en-scene and lighting.
