To the style of DeLand
In DeLand you're never too far away from the beach or springs. DeLand is 25 minutes from Daytona, the DeLeon Springs is located in DeLand, and Blue Springs is located 5-10 minutes from DeLand in Orange City.
Our History
Volusia County has over 400 years of history. Founded by Henry DeLand in 1876, DeLand has had a lot of time to grow. There are several 19th century buildings throughout our downtown.

The mayor of DeLand, Robert F. Apgar, deals with a lot of issues for the people of DeLand, such as land and community, as well as dealing with the workforces.. He pretty much runs DeLand, and takes care of us.
Our History
Our motto is "The Athens of Florida" which, The Athens Theater, is located in our downtown, as well.
We're well known to the educational world because of Stetson University. Our last population census in 2011 was 494,804.
