Wolverines are omnivores.
In the summer, wolverines eat small mammals like mice, rats, birds, and eggs. They also eat berries and plants.
In the winter, they hunt larger animals like reindeer, sheep, and moose. Because they can be clumsy, they tend to scare off predators that have killed a large animal so they can eat it. Wolverines never eat more than they need, so if they have extra, they will spray it and bury it for later.
