Neither does it follow todorov's thoery as we are starting with a flashback which is the new equilibrium.

Characters

We have 3 typical characters subjected to the genre of film noir.

Anti-hero, which will be a generic male character with the conventions of an ordinary neo noir.

Villian, which will be less typical but still follow the basic structure of a neo noir.

And finally the femme fatale, who will follow the aspects of a common film noir.

Brief Overview.

Richard, the anti-hero, finds himself persuaded on to the wrong side of the law by the villan and femme fatale who turns out to be much more than he could handle.

He takes a job from the villian which then turns treachorous and places him in trouble with both the law and the villian.

The villian tries to persue the anti-hero which ends in a dramatic turn of events.

Target audience - working class, skilled working class, and lower working class. This is because a neo noir would not particularly aim to the majority of young audiences.

Ours is appealing to the reception theory model because it has a twist and requires interaction.

Camera and composition

shot reverse shot for conversation between the anti-hero and the villian.

Mid and tracking shots for the chase scenes.

Editing

All transitions will be fast to represent the pace of the film.

Cutting scenes to make sure they flow together, showing continuity.

Non-diegetic sound - narrator, voiceover

Possibly tension building music such as classic or jazz music.

Clothes - urban working class such as hoodies, jeans and trainers.

Setting - modern day urban setting.
