How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Equipment
Apple imac
We used the imac to edit, produce and store all our footage, as it had the required softwares.
Panasonic Lumix 12 pixel
This is the camera we used to take pictures while we were shooting for the music video.
headphones
We used headphones to listen to our video on the mac
Sony AVCHD 12.0 Mega Pixel
This is the HD video camera we used to shoot all our footage. The quality of the camera was very good. It was clear and picked up the lighting impressively.
Tripod
This is the tripod we used to shoot some of the close-ups of our artist. This kept the camera steady.
Web 2.0
The internet enabled me use a range of different websites to view, upload and present work on.
Google enabled us to research about the record label and look at pictures of the artist to get an idea of his style. This also provided us with websites about similar artists and jack johnson's own website.
Facebook enabled us to gain feedback on our music video, album covers and magazine adverts. Feedback was given through comments of number of 'likes'.
Prezi enabled me to present some of my research and analysis of various products and artists.
YouTube is where we found the song 'better together'. It also provided us with similar artists videos and Jack Johnson's other music video's. We also uploaded our music video onto YouTube to gain feedback.
Scribd was another website I used to upload my work from Powerpoint/Word and embed it onto blogger.
Safari and Morzilla Firefox are web browsers that enables us to access the websites.
Blogger is the site on which we uploaded all our research, planning and production. The site enabled us to embed codes from Youtube and other websites, upload images and videos.
Wordle enables us to produce collages of words on subjects. It was a quick and easy way of summarising people's feedbacks.
Softwares
Final Cut Express
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is a photo editing software which is where we created our album covers and magazine adverts. It provided us with various tools such as vibrance/contrast, gaussian blur and the magic wand, to enhance our images.
Final Cut Express is the editing software we used to put our whole music video together. It enabled us to cut clips, add transitions and add effects to the shots.
