Her school just introduced a new program that she as well as all of the other "special" kids get to go to. It is a class where they all get to spend time with the "normal" kids. She already made a friend and enjoys being with other kids
Melody is frustrated
Melody wants to be just like everyone else. She has so many ideas and things to talk about but she just can't, but she might have found out some was to talk

Melody is excited because she found a new way to speak. She has so many things she wants to say to people and not enough time.
Melody is popular
Now that Melody can talk everyone wants to know what she wants to say. Everyone wants to play on her new computer and people cant hear enough of what she has to say!
Melody is frustrated
It seams like everyone is melony's friend, but the truth is that no one is really her friend everyone just pretends to be. As she walks through the halls she still can hear everyone talking about here behind her back.
