김수영 Kim SuYoung (Played by Zaiba Hakim) is bullied at school,

her best friend 권수진 Kwon SuJin (Played by Kiah Wauchope) turns on her,

이재화 Lee JaeHwa (Played by Vanessa Silva) is friends with SuJin. After

Kim SuYoung commits suicide she seeks revenge on Kwon Sujin,

by first murdering her friends. She then comes for Kwon Sujin.

As shown in our blog, we have been researching oriental-horror, specifcally of Korea and Japan. We plan on relating our project intexually to films such as 'Ringu' which take intertexuality from Japanese folklore.

The film opening for Se7en has also inspired us.

If we can get the sound of the river whilst recording we will use it as a foley sound, if not we will try to use a sound effect from Soundtrack. We may consider using the sound from the jack in the box, otherwise we will use the instrumental from Chakushi Ari.

CJ Entertainment, would produce our film,

씨제이엔터테인먼트 are a South Korean film company. This would mean that our film would have Korean actors, and most likely be set in Korea.

Our target audience are teenagers age 15+, who are looking for something exotic, or specifically oriental horror. The Oriental intertexual storyline, and onryo appeal to the audience of Oriental-Horror. Those wishing to watch Korean films would also be interested in our film.

The Opening

In the opening, we want to introduce the main characters without giving away too much of the storyline. we are going to show SuYoung winding up a Jack in the box, which is symbolic to her being wound up

by the other characters in our film. We also want to show the forest in which SuYoung commits and flashbacks to the time when SuYoung was bullied.

Bad weather - Harder to film in, ground is slippery, continousy error, can be hazardous

We plan on filming in trent park, where there is a forest. As for the bullying scenes we would like to film either in our college or in a shop. Due to problems with the weather we have been unable to visit trent park and take location photos.

People/bystanders - Get in the way, might affect our acting, continousy error

Technological - Camera problems such as the camera being in the wrong format, auto focus, full memory, battery life, wrong camera settings, problems when editting, loss of files.

Ground - Level, might be slippery

River - Danger of falling in, fishermen, might be iced over which causes problems when filming.

Our keyprops are going to be a Jack-in-the-box, which is symbolic of SuYoung being wound up, and a white costume/dress which SuYoung will wear once she becomes an Onryo. SuYoung is also going to wear a white bow before shes commits suicide.

Preliminary ideas on sound

Skills Audit

Since the beginning off the course, we have learnt how to work the camera, this means how to change the focus, zoom in and out, film, play back on the camera, how to set up the camera and tripod, how to record sound only, how to put the footage onto a mac and edit. In editting we have learnt how to edit both visual and audio. We have learnt how to cut, fade, add effects, import, export, save, change the pace (slow motion etc), render, and create titles. We have also learnt about Key frames In blogging we have learnt; how to blog, edit a blog, comment, add media to blogs such as images and videos, how to format a blog.
