Philosophy Teaching as my first choice

Researcher trainee in Sociology of Education and Art History: interdisciplinarity.

Master degree: applied investigation on ethics teaching in the 7th and 8th grade.

PhD: toward an interactive concept of pedagogical action: philosophy of education.

THIRD BACKGROUND: PROFESSION

I have worked in almost every kind of schools and level of education in a period of 17 years.

Private: elementary education, high school and college. Teaching Coordinator for 4 years in a college.

Public: municipal, province and federal. Elementary education, high school and college.

FIRST BACKGROUND: FAMILY

Federal Institute of Paraná: vocational high school and teacher education.

My mother is a History teacher, so I grew up surrounded by books and hearing school stories.

Teacher education as a research subject and also as a political cause.

My father is a researcher in Medicine, what also involved a lot of books and science conversations during my childhood.

TEACHER EDUCATION IN THE FEDERAL INSTITUTES

Teacher education is normally done in universities, although depreciated.

HAMK, FINLAND, 2015: GOALS

Federal Institutes Act obligates that 20%

of the vacancies are for teacher education.

To study how professional teachers are educated in Finland.

Federal Institutes allow and predispose a new culture for teacher education courses, nevertheless they are not considered vocational.

To apply Finnish knowledge about teacher education in the institution
