-The thickest nerve is 1 inch thick and the thinnest is thinner than the width of a human hair.
-Each nerve is a bundle of hundreds or thousands of nerve cells called neurons.
-Neurons are wired throughout the body like a web.
-Neurons send messages to the brain using electrical impulses
-These messages allow the body to keep functioning.
-Neurons, unlike other cells, have a limited ability to repair themselves if damaged.
2. The peripheral system which comprises of all the nerves and wiring in the human body. The nerves and wirings of this system sends messages to the brain.
Thank You and we hope you enjoy our presentation!!!!!! :D
Our nervous system has many parts and it is divided into 3 main sections:
What is the Human Nervous System?
1. The central nervous system which comprises of the spinal cord and the brain
The nervous system is a network of nerves that work together to allow us to feel things and keep our body running well.
Human Nervous System
-The brain controls all activities in the human body.
-The brain allows us to think/feel/remember.
-The brain communicates with the rest of the body through the spinal cord and nerves of the nervous system.
-The nervous system tells the brain what is going on in the body at all times.
-This way, the brain gives instructions to the rest of the body through the nervous system.

Lastly, here is a short video on the Human Nervous sytem....
-Nerves are spread out from the spinal cord to reach all parts of the body.
-The spinal cord is NOT the spine or backbone. However, it runs down a tunnel of holes in it. The backbone protects the spinal cord from damage.
- The spinal cord is a thick bundle of nerves and it connects the brain with the rest of the body.
3. There is another system called the endocrine system.......
- A hormone is carried by the blood from the endocrine gland to the various tissues.
-The endocrine system controls our hormones
-It controls the rate we grow, our hunger, our body temperature, etc.
-Different endocrine glands control different things.
E.g. the pituitary gland controls our rate of growth. It is about the size of a pea and hangs below the base of our brain
