I was a child
full of boredom
Always had nothing to do
I played around, watched A LOT of TV and just did homework.
I never

Do
Everyone would always hear me say, "I'm BORED"
a thousand times.
My sister started telling me to do something with my life, like reading. I always loved reading, but didn't think it was more interesting then watching TV, so I never really did it much.
I forgot I had a summer reading assignment.
I went to the library with no excitement.
Surprisingly, I found a book, from the list, I liked.
That book was
"Are you there god? Its me Margaret ?"
Reading has also opened many doors for me. I can communicate with people about interesting books that are our there.
Reading is an adventure for me.
Reading takes me to places I have never been before.
Time flies when I read.
Reading is one of the best choices I have made in my life.
Reading "Are You There God? Its Me Margaret." really connected with me. Margaret was a child, like me, confused about growing. She wanted to have things, that weren't ready for her yet. She always felt out of place. She had a really good connection with god.
Then I read a book Called "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian". While reading that, I came across the sentence "My mother and father are the twin suns around which I orbit and my world would EXPLODE without them." This made me think more about how important my parents are to me and how important they are in my life.
How Has Reading Changed My Life?

A few years later, I read a book called "Persepolis". Persepolis is about a girl named Marji's and how her life was during and after the Islamic revolution. She had to move from her family and home to a totally different place.
At the age of five, my family and I moved from Bangladesh to America. Moving has really changed our life.
From then it was book after book.
I passionately fell in love with reading and books.
This used to be me.
