Construction - Camera
- Before actually using the camera to film any part of our video, we decide to test the quality and history of that specific model.
- It proved to be quite a great camera which was perfect for filming and sharing videos.
Construction - iMovie
- iMovie was another application that played a huge role in the construction of my music video.
- It allows you to simply click, drag and drop different sections of video into your main project, this proving how straight forward it is to use.
- This also gives you a very high quality final product once finished and exported .
Construction - Photoshop
- Photoshop played a major role in designing and creating both my digipak and advert.
- It allows you to do almost anything to an image, from stamping to completely erasing a background.
- It is very simple and easy to use meaning it didn't take me too long to figure out what every tool meant, resulting in my media products to be finished earlier then expected.
Research - Blogger
- Blogger allowed me to look through past students blogs in order to find out what they had had trouble with with and what they recommended for future students such as myself.
- It was very usefully when it came to keeping my teacher updated on where about I was currently at with my planning and creating.
Research - Prezi
- The main purpose we had for prezi was to allow us to research existing media products past (media studies) students had created in order to see how successful theirs had been and to also collect ideas.
- Obviously, it has also been a great use for after the music video, digipak and advert had been finalized.
Research - Google
- Google showed us the best recommended artists and videos for our target audience based on music charts in certain genres, our being pop.
- We were also able to get a feel for Halsey style and themes, not just in music but in general such as clothing chooses and makeup, which led us to dress the main actress for our video quite similar.
- We used the lyrics in order to create the story, so Google made that quite easy for us because of the amount of websites that allowed us to analyze the lyrics little by little.
Research - Youtube
- Used in order for me and Erin to both research possible and recommended artist, songs and videos.
- Feedback was also collected through the comments of other youtube users.
- Helpful for links when trying to explain a certin point in recent evaluation questions.
