CONCEPT / AIM
What We Created
We built a web app focused around a 3d model of earth and another model representing the ISS orbiting it using real time relative locations.
To create an online social experience around spotting the ISS while helping to increase public interest and knowledge of the mission.
Implemented a report system with which users could tell the webapp of their sighting. In real-time, this location was displayed to all other clients, showing all locations of sightings since page load.
Created an "about" modal window with concise information about the ISS and links to existing learning resources available to interested users.
