Allow me to introduce myself . . .

My birthplace is McKeesport,

Pennsylvania -- a sooty little city just south

of Pittsburgh.

As the baby in my family of six, I was a shy, little, nervous wreck until about fourth grade.

I don't know if it was

divine destiny or dumb luck,

but I literally wandered into

a theater at the age of 9.

Having aimlessly drifted several blocks away from home, I took a curious peek inside the doors of a

new neighborhood building.

A friendly member of -- what turned out to be -- the local community theatre group, invited me to come inside and have a look around.

Within an hour, I had been cast in the McKeesport Little Theatre's production of Tom Sawyer!

Since that time I've performed in over thirty productions.

My specialty is theatre-dance and tap, but my resume as an educator shows a well-rounded range of courses taught in acting, voice and movement.

A musical "triple threat," I've served as playwright, composer and lyricist.

Fascinated by the power of live music to

uplift and inspire, my shows tend to be shamelessly comic, pop operas.

A love of period styles, manner and movement led naturally to other areas of playwriting:

adaptation of stage classics and children's theater.

Successful productions of my original musicals for children include

"Alice in Wonderland,"

"Broadway Babies"

and "Casey at the Bat."

and my original musical for young adults:

"Norman Cooper's

Last Stand"

Among others, I've authored adaptations of

"The Miser,"

"She Stoops to Conquer" and Calderon's "La Vida es Sueno."

Despite having randomly wandered onto the stage, I've been there ever since. I was welcomed to make myself at home, and that kindess obliges me to say . . .

"the show must go on!"
