My photography
To make my magazine, I had to go through lots of softwares such as photoshop, blogger, camera and many more. Before,i was useless at photoshop but at the end of this coursework, i have improved by enhance amout which may benefit me in the future. I have also learnt how to take proffesional pictures and what angles to take them from. One other thing that i forgot to mention is i also had to go through prezzi. This helped me experience different ways of prestenting work in a more creative way.
I have chosed my target audience so i had to find different ways of attracting them. I had to different media concepts such as font, colours and layout to attract my audience.
After all the magazine research i did, i have undertsood the codes and convetnion of magazines. The research was helpful because it allowed me to use it in my magazine. Codes and convention has made me realise more about about the music industry.
My research was mostly conducted in vibe and source magazine as they were most hip hop based and popular. I wanted to distinguish the differences between the two magazines and i found one, they both represent their Mast head differently. A feature that they both share colour schemes which are black,white,purple and many more. This ensured to me to use these colours because they are the colours that are used by favoured brands.
Evaluation
I have also used the a button also known as freebie in my magazine. In my freebie,it says "Win free PS3". This will attract the audience because you get a gift for just reading.
Before i had to make the magazine, i had to do a prelimianry task which was to create a basic school magazine. I can see the masive change between the two magzines. This shows that I have improved in my skills in knowledge to create such a masterpeice.
One magazine publisher that I would probably want to distribute is IPC because their marketing skills is greater than i have encountered. Web 2.0 may get involved because without uploading this to the net, its not going to be successful.
My magazine main target audience is 19-24 year olds and males.This can also be applicable for females but cause of the colours and bold letters i have used, its more males based.
As i have mentioned before, my age group is between 19-24 males.This is because when i look at the results, i saw that 19-24 is more interested in our magazine than the other ages. It's applicable to everyone but our main target audience is what i mentioned above.
My magazine is applocable all culutres as i have already showed you in front cover since i used an asian as my main image. In the present days, culutral differences are not shown and everyone act as one with music so my magazine had no intention of having a specifc social class.
