A.R. According to Creative Craft

You have seen examples of A.R in action.

Future Uses of A.R in Libraries

Interaction with Books; See reviews, biographies, holdings, translate passages and cut and store sections of text.

The Future is Coming

A.R. is emerging into society and will become more prevalent as ideas and technology progress.

Interactive Displays; Watch objects spring to life before you, from characters speaking lines from books to looking at what the past was like in history books.

The Downside

If used correctly, it can bring libraries alive in ways not yet experienced.

Cost; The equipment has a cost to set up and run.

Network Connectivity; Without access to the internet, much of the A.R. displays won't run.

Standards; Currently no established standards.

Privacy; Automatic recognition and display software has privacy concerns.
