This particular location is a four junction roundabout between based in Hersham between two dual carriage ways, this immediately creates danger as drivers approach the roundabout at such high speeds.
This is also the location of one our interviewees, Lucine Sandiford, who unfortunately had an accident here in the year of 2009. We are using this shot to show our viewers the extremity of the roundabout and to give them an insight into how the roundabout works.
This is a shot of the '50 miles per hour' zone between Weybridge and Addlestone. This road is located between two secondary schools in Weybridge, meaning that a lot of young drivers use this road on a day-to-day basis. This road has been known for drivers to be exceeding the speed limit, in which it has recently caused a fatal accident to a young adult crossing the road. The beginning of the road is a '30 miles per hour zone' due to it connecting to a busy high street, there are then two signs (shown in the picture to the right) signaling the drivers that they are allowed to reach the speed of 50. This difference of '20 miles per hour' seems excessive in such a short distance, causing stress to young drivers who feel pressured by other cars to speed up quickly.
This is an example of a Police station in Walton on Thames, we do not plan on locating our interview there as it is currently inactive. However, we will be locating one of our scenes in a police station and we will use an establishing shot before cutting to the interview to show our audience the seriousness of the topic.
We want an emotional tone to the these particular interviews so to gain this we we will be using a black screen to hold all our interviews in front of. We have decided to go with this instead of locating it in an everyday surrounding because we feel as though the audience will be able to focus more on the interviewee and what their message is and It will also hopefully give a more professional feel to the documentary.
