The poster includes an image of Swift and many ways to buy the album and make it more successful. For example, there is an icon saying available on ITunes' which increases her target audience as more people have access to this app. The images that are used are simple and in them Swift can be seen wearing red lipstick which yet again connotes her album title.
The poster for Lady Gaga's new album is completely focused on her as an artist revealing she is a solo act. The fact that her tattoos are being revealed in this photo shoot suggest to her audience that she is proud of who she is and doesn't care about what anyone thinks about her. the typography that is used looks hand written which creates an edgy vibe to the album and gives her target audience an idea of what to expect from her new album. the fact that she has put spikes onto her face suggests that she wanted this album cover to be different as it does go against the codes and conventions of a pop album.
