Get a Buddy

When you are out, make sure to have a buddy. You look out for each other when you are at and promise to not leave without telling them. They can also be your second opinion

Respect everyone's right to make their own decision... including you!

We all have the right to make our own decisions about when to have sex whether it is the first time or the tenth.

2 Are Better than 1

Alternatives to Sex

You can be intimate without having sex. These alternatives, like oral sex, have risks as well, but will not cause pregnancy.

The best way to prevent pregnancy and STIs is to use both a contraceptive like the pill and a condom. Check out the links below for different types of contraceptive and the dos and don'ts of condoms.

No means No!

Be Prepared for a Sex Emergency

Sometimes things go wrong even when you try to do everything right. Consider carrying a few condoms with you in case of breaks or tears. Women have the option of using Emergency Contraception within 72 hours of intercourse. For more information on Emergency Contraception, follow the link below.

And passed out doesn't mean yes. If you are too drunk to realize someone is telling you "no" or someone is passed out, it can be considered rape. On the other hand, if you see signs of sexual assault, be a good bystander and step in.

Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Sex

Drug and alcohol use can interfere with your decision making skills and lead to sexual assault, pregnancy, or STIs. Also, large amounts of alcohol react with your body to make sex less enjoyable for both people.

Never have sex out of fear or pressure from a partner. It is always your choice. If you don't want to have sex, be sure to discuss this with your partner.
