The Clip
Eddie the bar owner, seems to have a bit of wealth as he has his own bar, and also the bar seems fairly modern as the furniture in there seems new and well maintained and also the colour scheme is quite rich, it has a lot of red and then brighter colours such as gold and white. He wears just a shirt rather than the others wearing a full suit or a shirt and tie, this shows that he is not as powerful as them and maybe looks up to them. We can see that he is not as powerful as them as they don’t take any notice of what he is saying and they boss him around in his own bar. And they also make sure he doesn’t get any customers, by changing his number.
When we see the apartment in which the group stay, you can see that they are quite wealthy; you can see this as it looks like a nice apartment. All of the furniture looks modern, showing that they can afford to buy new items for the house. There is a lot of white and gold, showing that they have thought about it and it makes a statement that they have money to spend on the items. You can also see that the view from the apartment is over central London, so again shows wealth and class as they can afford to buy an apartment in the centre of London.
The Group
The business man
The business man that Ash is talking to has an accent that makes him sound like he is of a lower class, he also walks with a kind of swag and doesn’t speak proper English, again showing that he is of lower class than the rest of them but he still appears to be middle class as again he is dressed in a suit shower a high status.
From the clip I can see that the group of Hustlers look like they are middle class. A reason why I think this is because they look relatively wealthy, and I can see this from the way in which they dress. They are all dressed in smart clothes, for example all of the men are dressed in suits. This shows that they might have a good job and it shows that they have power, it makes them look wealthy and of a high class. All of them are well presented and are dressed neat. I wouldn’t say that they are of a high class, as we expect higher class people to have a ‘posh’ accent and these don’t. When Ash is talking to the business man he is putting on an accent, to make him sound posh and more intellectual and to make it seem like he is of higher class to the business man.
