Title sequence
Throughout the film we only really used natural lighting as its all based outside. However at the end the main character gives a quick documentary update. In this we turned all the lights off as if there was no electricity - but we did use 2 torches that stayed focused on his face as if it was attached to the camera.
Music
A variety of camera angles were used in our post apocalyptic film. One example is when the main character gets hit in the back of the head at the end, after this i used a POV shot- i felt like this worked well as it showed you in his shoes.
For the narrative we got one character to tell his story as it went along. I did this as i felt it added mystery on where is he now and where's the others by the time it gets to the end.
One location that we used is a remote fields where there are only two people and no evidence of anyone else being around to try and tell the audience that what ever style apocalypse has occured (nuclear war, zombies, ect.) theres not many people around.
The costumes we used tended to be older looking clothes as in the middle of a apocalypse you cant go buy new clothes. The only time we changed character clothes was when we wanted to insert a actual time gap in the film.
In our post apocalyptic film we didn't use that many props throughout. One prop we did use later on in the film is a thick stick. Although it's not the typical prop you'd see as a weapon; we wanted to make it more natural to fit the whole post apocalyptic theme.
